Become a Surf Buddy!
Wet Surf Buddy
As part of Splash Out we offer two types of 'Surf Buddy' roles, both of which are volunteer positions and are therefore not paid. As a Surf Buddy you will play an integral part in the delivery of basic beach and water safety messages, encourage participation and be an ambassador for Splash Out.
A 'Wet Surf Buddy' is an experienced waterman whose role it is is to work 1-to-1 with a child to ensure they have a memorable and safe experience at Splash Out.
Typical Roles Include:

Beach Set-Up

Wetsuit Issue
-
Delivering the child's individual experience (Wet & Dry)

Manage the safety of all participants

Pack Down
*ILS Qualifications are an advantage but not a necessity for all volunteers.
Dry Surf Buddy
Not a surf nut? Not a problem. An army of volunteers are required to run Splash Out and our dry Surf Buddies are just as important as our wet ones!
